2023 Sailing Instructor Position – Yukon Breeze Sailing Society
Start Date: May 29, 2023
End Date: August 18, 2023
Hours per week: 37.5
Wage: $25 – $30 per hour (depending on experience)
Required Certifications:
● Current Standard First Aid & CPR C certification (needed before start date)
● Pleasure Craft Operators Card (needed before start date)
● Current CANSail Level 1 and 2 Instructor (with instructor dues paid to Sail Canada)
● Lifeguarding certification (would be considered an asset)
Minimum Required Qualifications:
● previous experience coaching sailing
● strong organizational and planning skills
● strong leadership qualities
● strong communication skills with staff and parents
● previous work in a camp or teaching environment for children and youth
●A criminal record check with a vulnerable sector screening is a condition of employment.
