This award recognizes the B.C. sailor who had the greatest achievement in the sport of sailing during the past year. The recipient of this award may have made this achievement in one or all of the following areas:

• International competitive sailing
• Offshore cruising
• Representation of BC Sailing or one of its member clubs outside of the province
• Sailing instruction or coaching

This award recognizes the B.C. volunteer who has made the greatest contribution to the advancement of sailing in the province. The recipient of this award may have made their contribution at the club level or the provincial level in one of the following areas:

• Club administration
• BC Sailing administration
• Coaching
• Team organization
• Special events
• Fundraising
• Other

This award recognizes two outstanding B.C. youth sailors (one male and one female) who had the greatest achievement in sailing during the past year. The recipients of this award may have made noteworthy achievements in one or all of the following areas:

• Performance – results at provincial, national or international competitions
• Corinthianism – displayed a sense of sportsmanship and fair play
• Leadership – role modelling, mentoring, coaching, instructing, and race management assistance
• Participation – shows dedication to the sport through involvement at all levels.

*These trophies are to be awarded annually by a committee appointed by the President of BC Sailing and are based on performance.

The BC Sailing Pachena Point Trophy – For Offshore Racing

To be awarded annually to the boat from British Columbia that participated in at least one Category 2, 1 or 0 race. The award will prioritize races that are organized or partially organized by BC Sailing member organizations.

The BC Sailing Race Rocks Trophy – For Long Distance Racing

To be awarded annually to the boat who performs the best as determined by the committee or by the process determined by the committee in BC Based Category 3 Distance Racing events of 90 nm or greater. The top BC Based boat, if not the winner, will also be recognized.

The BC Sailing Point Atkinson Trophy – For Medium Distance Racing

To be awarded annually to the boat who performs the best as determined by the committee or by the process determined by the committee in BC Based Category 3 Distance Racing events of less than 90 nm. The top BC Based boat, if not the winner, will also be recognized.

The BC Sailing Entrance Island Trophy – For Keelboat Racing

To be awarded annually to the boat who performs the best as determined by the committee or by the process determined by the committee in BC Based Distance Racing events not categorized as Offshore or Coastal (I.e. inshore – not Category 3, 2, 1 or 0). The boat should have competed in more than one event and travelled to more than one racing region. The top BC Based boat, if not the winner, will also be recognized.
