Club Race Officer Course 2021

 

The Club Race Officer course covers the duties of a Race Officer in charge of a race course, including organization, setting courses, starting, controlling events throughout the race and finishing procedures. A person should have some experience on a race committee, or a fair amount of racing experience.

 

The course takes about 12 hours, and will be given over 4 nights using Zoom meetings. There are 40 spots in this course.

 

Dates:

February 22nd, 6:30-9:30PM
February 24th, 6:30-9:30PM
March 1st, 6:30-9:30PM
March 3rd, 6:30-9:30PM

 

The course will be hosted by Paul Evenden, John Abel and John Culter.

 

Successful completion of this course is a prerequisite for Sail Canada Certification as a Club Race Officer (CRO). Certification for ARO and CRO is for four years. Assistant Race Officers (ARO) and Club Race Officers (CRO) are certified by the BC Sailing Race Management Committee.
