2026 CANSAIL Instructor – Pender Islands Junior Sailing Association (PIJSA) – Summer Camps
PIJSA is seeking a CANSail 3 – 4 Instructor for our summer camp courses working with ages – 10 years to adult. This is seasonal employment running from July 20 – August 21 (5 weeks).
We operate from Hamilton Beach on Browning Harbour, Pender Island. PIJSA is a small sailing club running accredited CANSail programs in the summer only on a Gulf Island located between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay. We offer CANSail 1 – 4 courses to kids 9 years to adult. We are looking for a certified instructor to teach our CANSail 3 – 4 courses. The instructor must be safety-focused and enjoy working with sailors of all ages. The instructor will also be working in tandem with our CANSail 1 – 2 instructors.
Applicants must be a Trained or Certified CANSail instructor with valid prerequisites.
• Start Date: July 20 End Date: August 21 (5 weeks)
• Wage: $1,000 – 1,050 per week (based on (M-F) 5 days at 7 – 8 hours/day)
• Exciting and challenging sailing venue
• Accommodation/food allowance to be discussed
