The Mobile Optimist Sailing School wrapped up another successful summer, introducing more than 95 young sailors to sailing in communities across BC. The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club hosted the 2026 Canadian Optimist Dinghy Championship August 17th-23rd in partnership with the Canadian Optimist Dinghy Association. A total of 145 athletes took part in a full week of fleet and team racing on Vancouver’s waters.
