The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club hosted the 2026 Canadian Optimist Dinghy Championship August 17th-23rd in partnership with the Canadian Optimist Dinghy Association. A total of 145 athletes took part in a full week of fleet and team racing on Vancouver’s waters.   The championship featured qualifying and final fleet racing, as well as team racing, with 66 sailors competing in the Gold Fleet.
