2026 Commodores’ Forum Recap!

The 2026 Commodores Forum was a tremendous success, welcoming 55 commodores & club leaders from across British Columbia for a full day focused on Sustainability & Engagement. The conversations were thoughtful, practical, and forward looking, with strong participation in discussions on asset and capital planning, membership recruitment and retention, and strengthening connections within our communities. The energy in the room reflected a shared commitment to building resilient, vibrant sailing clubs across the province.

 

A sincere thank you to West Vancouver Yacht Club for graciously hosting this year’s forum and providing such an excellent setting for collaboration and connection. We will be sharing a summary of key learnings and highlights from the breakout activities in the coming weeks so clubs can continue the conversation and apply the ideas discussed.
