Isabella Bertold – Canada SailGP victory in Christchurch!

Canada makes history in Christchurch with first ever win, beating home favourites in neck and neck showdown! Isabella Bertold of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club occupied the role of strategist during the Canada SailGP victory in Christchurch.

 

“I’ve sailed in other classes where the top speed might have been 14 knots and when I surfed down a wave it felt really out of control. Going from that to feeling like 30 knots is a slow day out on the water is a really big jump.”
