Two BC Sailors at the IQ Foil Youth World Championship!

Sa Rapita Spain hosted the Iq Foil Youth and Junior World Championships with 375 Competitors representing 35 countries.  2 Canadians competed both in the U 19: Valentino Blewett from the Whistler Sailing Association who finished 11th / 143  and Simón Fauser from Royal Vancouver Yacht Club who finished 129th.

 

For Valentino Blewett this was an excellent performance which included 2nd and 3rd place race finished in gold fleet racing, having narrowly missed out on top 10 medal racing with no chance to move up due to thunderstorms and no racing on the final day of fleet racing. Congratulations!
