VanIsle 360 International Yacht Race!

VanIsle 360 International Yacht Race!

This year’s Van Isle 360 International Yacht Race delivered nearly perfect conditions — a splash of rain at the start of Leg 1 and then dry skies and steady wind for every leg after. From lively breezes to flawless logistics, no legs were abandoned, and the fleet sailed strong thanks to the incredible hospitality and support of Vancouver Island communities like Comox, Kelsey Bay, Telegraph Cove, Port Hardy, Winter Harbour, Ucluelet, Victoria, and our start and finish host, the Port of Nanaimo. Deep gratitude to everyone who welcomed the fleet, fixed broken gear, and helped keep this adventure on track.

Crews from 46 boats came together as strangers and left as a tight-knit community, helping each other on and off the water while still racing hard. With the dedication of OA Sylvia and Jeffrey Motley, PRO Chris Maier, and the Race Committee giving more than two weeks to ensure a safe, exciting event — plus stories and images shared by Seagann to thousands of followers — the 2025 Van Isle 360 was a true success story. Most importantly, aside from bumps and bruises, there were no serious injuries, a testament to the planning, preparation, and seamanship that put safety first. To the racers, organizers, sponsors, and supporters. Thank you for making this extraordinary race possible.
